Where can I download Visual Novel games?

Question

can anyone give me some good visual novel games and the site where I can download them please. It's better if it's a direct download link but torrent will do but please give me the exact site, I went on nihonomaru but I can't find the exact page to download them, I'd like english translated games. Thanks.

agreed with vndb.org being probably the best website that has all the VNs organized (like ratings and genres and stuff) it's easy to find what you want. but you can't download anything from there.

mmm i find it easier to download the japanese game and the english patch separately.. (or even together) so i usually just google everything. like
"(insert visual novel name here) english download"

but as for websites.
these are the ones i like to use the most.
*insani.org (i think all of it is non-hentai)

*erogedownload.com (i know it sounds really bad.. but it really isn't all that. it has some stuff like clannad series, i think ever-17... symphonic rain etc etc. and other nonhentai along with some -18 stuff. just be wary of what you download i guess)

*http://vnddl.webs.com/list.txt also has a lot. but i think it's in japanese...? but getting the english patch isn't too hard (just google "Visual novel name english patch" and you should find it.. assuming it's released)

as for forums (the ones where you need to be a member to see the links) hongfire.com has a lot.
forum.nihonomaru.com is another site that i use.

are my usuals.

and some like mirrormoon.org , witch-hunt.com have english patches. (witch-hunt is specific for higurashi/umienko series and i THINK mirrormoon is for typemoon VN's only but i could be wrong) although they encourage you to buy the japanese cds legally.

BUT. google is the best way to go because if you google it, most of the time one or more of these sites that i listed will show up. iono. i only started downloading VNs 3 days ago (but i download a lot at a time.haha. i have like 20-25 ish. and slowly playing them) so i'm sure it won't be that difficult.

vndb.org is a great site to find translated VNs with great sereach engine
it tells a lot of info about the NV and if it was translated by group or compeny yet.
as for downloading there was a great blog that had a lot of NVs but i dont remember its name so you just to do with torrent like me
use iso hunt or nyaa torrents you should find find what you want
DONT FORGET cheack out vndb.org its great and helpful for these things.
