I am missing the program from my pc. I have the Paint, but not Wordpad. I am sure I had it when I bought the pc 3 months ago, but it has disappeared. I need to find a way to redownload it for my pc.

  1. You can download it directly from here.

    Enjoy!

  2. first, check to see if you still have it (or maybe your shortcut to it just got deleted).

    go to Start > Run

    enter WORDPAD

if that doesn't work try entering

    WRITE

suprisingly enough the "shortcut" is called Wordpad, but the actual .exe file is called "Write.exe".  On my XP system, write.exe is located under the Windows > System32 folder.

Open MyComputer, go to your C drive, go to your Windows folder and then your system32 folder and look for the file.  Once you find it, just right click on it and Send To > Desktop as shortcut.

  3. WordPad or Notepad is a part of Windows. If you had it 3 months ago, you still have it. Click on Start, Programs, Accessories and look down the list for Notepad. It's there unless you have completely destroyed your operating system. If you have, then Notepad is not the only thing missing! If you are using Vista, It might be called something different. If you are using XP it's Notepad.

  4. You also can download other wordpad application:
