Where can I dump old appliances for free! ?

I live in Stanislaus County in Modesto california, and need to get rid of some old appliances.

I'm in OH, and all I have ever done is put them on the curb the morning of the day before garbage collection. They never last more than a few hours.  Scrappers LOVE them.

Take them and throw them behind any Lowes stores and they will fix them and resale them.

if they still work try giving them to the good will or the salvation army
