Hi,

If you are flying, the airport has the best rate. Just for precaution exchange your money before passing immigration. People say that there have been some robberies to people who exchange money after immigration because everybody can see how much they are exchanging and they could get followed.

The hotels have the worst rates 1:10.

If you are not flying, a bank is the better option!

YOU CAN DO IT AT A CASA DE CAMBIO, but lots of banks also do it.  but i would do it before entering mexico as a precaution.

At the border crossing there's always money exchange locals, at any airport or bank.

In Mexico, everywhere. Even to any person or at any store. Few places don't accept dolars.

Best to do exchange after you arrive in Mexico...and NOT in the aairport...bank is better.  Best is to use your AtM card to get out what you need little by little...get best rate at ATMs.

Most of the hotels will exchange your money also at the banks.

Look for a place called "Casa de Cambio" they are specifically their to exchange money and also the best rate.  Banks will do the same for you.
