  2. You can't its still under copyright. You'll have to buy one...

  3. You can't. It's copyrighted.

However, parts of it can be found online. A certain person calling himself Redguard or something like that claims to be the actual author and LaVey stole his work, or so he claims.  Anton LaVey, unlike Crowley was no plagiarist.

As no copyright violation or counter claim was made by this Redguard, whoever he may be, I find the claim ludicrous.

If Redguard's Book of Satan [which is available online so search under that title] is actually his work and the idiot didn't copyright it and Anton LaVey stole it as he claims: too bad, who cares. Idiots deserve what they get.

Anton LaVey's philosophy is essentially Nietzsche's with a twist and a penchant for shock and awe, a thumb on the nose to society's retarded conventions, customs, hypocrisies and stupidities which is the only sin in Satanism.

There are other types of Satanists, mostly retards like Theistic Satanists who imagine Satan to actually exist and answer their prayers and will take them to his abode under the Earth or some fantastic nonsense or the Hollywood Satanism, pure sham, used by some rock and metal groups.  I have greater contempt for these Theistic Satanists and idiot teenagers who take Heavy Metal symbolism seriously than for conventional theists like Christians, or Muslims.

You want substance, try Nietzsche and Machiavelli and LaVey or Sun Tzu's Art of War for that matter.

Don't waste time with theistic retards whatever their persuasion.

Here's LaVey in a nutshell, basically the same as atheistic humanism.

This is your one and only shot at life. Whatever comes of your life is what you make it, good or bad. Can't blame mom and dad, society, God or Satan for your failures. So make the best of what you got and live without fear, guilt or shame. Be who you are and do not try to be somebody else.  They can't live your life. You can't live theirs.  Show kindness and love to those who deserve it and don't waste it on ingrates. [One of the Nine Satanic Statments].

LaVey despised ritual murder, sacrifice of animals, rape, abuse of children and other acts by social deviants, morons and crooks.

His advice for men seeking women is probably the best ever given by any man. He should be listened to as this man LaVey was involved with Jane Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe and many actresses and celebrities and models.

He wrote "Do not make a sexual advance to a woman unless you first have received the mating signal."

Satan knows how time and bother would be saved if men applied that one to practice.

To LaVey, Satan is a symbol of freedom, courage and independence, will, all the good virtues.

God, a symbol of tyranny, slavery, corruption, control, might makes right, all the bad things in life.

But neither exist and there is no life after death.

LaVey's hint in the Satanic Bible that it MIGHT be possible, was later repudiated by him as utterly fantastic, and impossible and stupid.

His other books like Satan Speaks, The Satanic Witch reveal LaVey to have some surprising qualities like being Pro-Life. Politically, he's independent, close to a Libertarian stance, and more like a Republican than a Democrat.

Did you guess that?  He wrote basically [paraphrased somewhat] "Why kill the unborn who can't be blamed for his or her existence. If you are going to abort someone, abort the stupid mother that got herself knocked up."

His system of magic isn't really a system of magic at all. LaVey didn't believe in magic or the occult, but used the Enochian chants simply because they help with the psychodramas as he calls it, dramas to set the mood, jumpstart brains that no longer function and their battery has died.

The Enochian chants were taken from the Thelemite, Enochian and Golden Dawn rituals and are not LaVey's, he just thought they sounded perfectly dreadful and barbarous so used them.

I know what I'm talking about. Like Marilyn Manson, I met the guy before his death and am an honorary High Priest, but I officially never jooined them, as I join nobody and no group ever, being more of an independent thinker than even LaVey.

I also like his advice on dressing and appearance.

More or less "If you lack physical attractiveness or beauty or charisma, if a woman, one should adopt the wise crone appearance, or if a man adopt a sinister appearance."

He would have liked me. Can't get more sinister than that.

Let's face it. I'm not Brad Pitt.

As for homosexuality, LaVey wrote more or less "So you are g*y or L*****n? Who cares? Doesn't matter to us."

So I like the guy, admire his spirit you can say, the spirit of defiance in a stupid society. But I don't love him and know many who are far above him in philosophy.

Milton's Paradise Lost if read right is more valuable than the Satanic Bible.

Here's a quote from Satan as taken from Milton's work:

"The mind is its own place and in itself can make a heaven of h**l, a h**l of heaven.  Better to reign in h**l than serve in heaven."

How true! That's the spirit I have too.  This is better than anything in LaVey's writings.  Nietzsche is miles above him too.   Crowley, a very funny guy is on about an equal plane.

Crowley's Book of the Law is better than the Satanic Bible too.  Aiwass, the presumed entity has a superbly brutal philosophy, so sweet and refreshing to those of us sick of this Care-Bear mentality that has turned humanity into stupid infantile sheep.

I'm an atheist more or less, but defiant like LaVey and Aiwass, I could be Aiwass in the flesh for all you know.

Some atheists I've met are weak effeminate stupid infantile babies themselves, guilt ridden neurotics who follow Christian ethics which unlike the metaphysics is the really harmful part of Christianity, and that just leaves me aghast, shocked in unbelief that an atheist could be this big of an idiot.

Jesus is OK by me, since he lived what he taught, and fought and died for what he believed in. I can respect that. No coward or idiot was Jesus.

But I totally utterly despise his present day lunatic followers.

If I were Jesus, I'd disown them. With followers like that, who needs enemies?

The Satanist and atheist actually respects Jesus more than his followers do. They listen to him, his followers do not. Jesus said "I would that ye were hot or cold, but since ye are luke-warm, I will spew ye out of my mouth."

I like that and feel exactly the same way..

I can't be hot for Jesus because I can't follow a failure, so I'll give him cold like he's never imagined, absolute ZERO.

Hope he appreciates it. Better an honest enemy than a lying friend. Jesus was smart enough to appreciate that bit of sound advice.

Anton LaVey shocked and awed many. I shocked and awed LaVey when we met back in 1990, three years before his end. He said of me, "You are more Satanic than Satan himself, more brutal than Nietzsche, more fiendish than Crowley's Aiwass and more lustful than Gardner's Cornunos." and I said "Why thank you, Doctor!"

"Pleased to meet you, hope you guessed my name!"

With that allusion to the Rolling Stones, we parted and that was the last I saw of him while alive.

  4. Here you go

  5. It's a yucky book. I actually had one in my hands in 1974 and tossed it right out the door, along with the person to whom it belonged.

  6. Not in electronic format.  The CoS has maintained the copyright on the book quite vigorously, and any electronic distribution forbidden.

That said, your morals as your guide, it's not hard to find on, oh, say, emule or other p****y sites.  But seriously, it's only a few bucks and any bookstore can get it for you, so...
