You're not going to be hauling food around... just store canned foods and just rotate the stock every year.

I think Military (or Army-Navy) Surplus Stores carry them.  In addition, large sporting goods stores carry dehydrated meals....

mre's can be found in military surplus stores and hunting and camping outfitters. also you can go on line for them. tmm.

I get them from Army/Navy surplus stores.  They're about $5.00 apiece.
