Where can I find a 5.5 gallon aquarium hood? Do they sell them at petco, petsmart?

Also, when they mean the 12 x 8 inch hood fits a 5 gallon tank does that mean it would fit a 5.5 gallon tank? Thank you.

Are you talking about a replacement hood for something like an Eclipse 5.5 gal aquarium?

If so, most likely these are going to be special orders direct from the company. I have never seen parts for sale at the local stores for things like that - Another good reason to go with standard tanks, and not the specialty tanks.

Ask the manager at your local fish store if it's possible to special order a hood if they don't carry it.

they might but good luck finding just the top! lol... have you considered ebay? or other internet playces? or garage sales? then you could get what you want at a cheap price! good luck
