Question:

Where can I find a Caterpillar?

I live in North America and I've looked everywhere, and couldn't find a single caterpillar! I've heard that they usually eat milkweed..what do those even look like? I remember as a kid i would find them everywhere, now i cant even find one...help? =)

  1. It's probably too late in the year.  All of this year's caterpillars probably turned into butterflies a few months ago.  Wait until April and you will see them again.


  2. caterpillars mature over summer and pupate over winter. It is easier to find them when it gets cooler outside. Good luck.

  3. Try around trees or bushes or around parks.
