Where can I find a Medieval re-enactment group to join?

Question

I'm 16 currently, and have been interested in joining a Medieval re-enactment group for quite some time, though I know it'd be impossible for me to do much other than be a squire untill the age of 18, for insurence and such, I've been looking for one to join so I can train ect.

the group would HAVE to be in England, I dont plan to leave. Preferably in the northeast, though I am willing to travel if needs be, and as I mentioned, I'd much prefer if it was a Medieval group, i've seen Roman groups, Norman groups and such, and wasnt particually interested.

Towards the bottom there are lists of links in the UK. What you are looking for is the term "LARP" or Live Action Role Playing.
