My digital camera just broke and at 3.0 megapixels, it isn't worth repairing! I need a camera temporarily until I can afford something nicer. All of the cameras under $20 at Walgreens need to be used with PCs. Does anyone know of a CHEAP digital camera that I can use with my Mac?

  1. the mac has drivers for every camera.

    trust me.

and anyway, the best way to put pictures on the computer is by plugging the memory card in.. so you dont need the pc software.

    use iphoto, or aperture.

  2. Don't worry, all cameras can work with the MAC system

( canon, nikon, fuji, olympus, and most others )

So, you don't have to worry about that. The type of computer you have doesn't matter when it comes to getting a digital camera.

Oh, and you said you wanted to buy a " cheap " camera, that's perhaps 50-less? which isn't that good of a budget to start with. in simpler words, you get what you pay for. And, unless you only want minimum results, you should get a more expensive camera. Don't worry though, you don't have to spend more than 130$. Trust, me stick to that budget. All you have to do is keep saving. :P

if you choose to spend around 130$, you should go with the following cameras, which i suggest strongly:

    the canon powershot a580

    the canon powershot a550

    the canon powershot a560

    the canon powershot a570IS

Those are some great cameras, i have an a550, and i loved it, it's a great camera, and the canon powershot line is a great line in digital cameras, which are aimed primarily are beginners and family photographers :P
