I am not partial to any charity, but I would like to know of any clothing dropbox locations you know of, within downtown Toronto (Canada).

  1. google: toronto salvation army   so that you can choose one of the many salvation army drops in toronto

  2. United Way and Big Brothers do not participate in "drop boxes" as far as I know.

I believe Salvation Army still has a big outlet store on Jarvis St. at Adelaide. You can drop off things there, even large things, or buy if you wish.  Goodwill  offers the same type of drop-off service, and has many  box locations.

Depending on their volunteer situation at the time, if you have something large, and worthwhile, Sally Ann may even arrange for a truck to come and pick it up from you.

I did this once in Richmond Hill, when I had to clear out a whole apartment. Sally Ann sent a volunteer with a cube van.  He and I filled it and he went back to the store, emptied it and returned for the second load.

You can contact either of them at these on-line locations.

Goodwill...enter your own postal code at this site to find one near you

  3. not being a smart alec --but call the local branchs and ask them where the drop boxes are---cheers
