  1. Google a cruise ship line name and then Look under "careers" or "jobs". Good luck!

  2. Just so you know, most cruise ships don't hire Americans because of the U. S. laws such as minimum wage, hours and such. They hire Americans for entertainers though.

  3. Your best option is to go to the website for each of the cruise lines and check their employment/career/jobs page for instructions.  I would not trust any "agency" that says they are doing hiring for cruise lines as the cruise lines normally do their own hiring.

I have included links to Carnival & Royal Caribbean employment pages below...

  4. Do not go for the cruise line sites.

Concessions are the quick way in.

Concessions run shops, casino, spa, photo dept on board.

www.hardingsbros.co.uk runs shops and spas on some 50 ships.

it´s easy to get in, interviews are on the phone.

pays well, 160 pounds a week + commission for the shops.

you are staff, not crew, which is a lot better.

the shops dont usually open while in port, so you have free days.

they dont use agencies, so its all at their site.

you need English, but if you have more languages better.

they dont discriminate based on nationality.

you should have some retail experience, so if you don´t, LIE.

    good luck

Going directly to the cruise lines takes forever, my first ship job was with Carnival and even though I had everything they asked for and a lot more, it took me over a year to finaly embark.

    All on-line agencies are scams.

  5. On a cruise ship.

  6. Apply on the cruise ships websites'.  I just wanna let you know... even though you obviously don't really seem to care... that the crew rooms are tiny.  Tiny beds, sharing rooms with foreign people you don't know, tiny bathroom, rooms are mostly underwater for crew (a lot of ship movement), and most days I believe our waiter told us, they cannot even get off the ship when it is in port.  They have to stay on & clean.  You work seven days a week, for months at a time.  The days are long, too.  You don't see your family or friends.  If you want to make any money and/or have a successful relationship anytime soon, you probably don't want to do this.  It isn't for everyone.

Please don't get mad at me, I am simply just informing you.

  7. go straight to the ship websites like carnival.com but have an idea of what it is you do.  also depends on where you live in the world.  some countries you are required to go through an agent to get a job on cruise ships, at least for the first contract.
