Question:

Where can I find a flexible jointed conduit that holds any position you put it in?

This conduit usually is about the width of your thumb and black. It is jointed and bendable, after you bend it into the position you want it will stay there. I think I have seen it used for spraying water on a piece of metal being drilled or you can run small wires inside it too. I found a picture of it here. It is in the picture at the top of the page.

Please help, I have called so many places and they have no idea what I am talking about. Internet searches also have come up blank.

Thanks for your assistance.

  1. You probably are not looking for electrical conduit; at least not any listed conduit that I've seen. I just went through all of Chapter 3 of the 2005 & 2008 NEC, and did not find anything that matched your description under Part III of any of the Articles on Raceways.

I just checked out the link you included; forget about what I said regarding finding listed conduit; obviously, safety is not a priority, here.

  2. you may try to get some at an industrial electrical supply (see below)

I think the ability to hold position is not from the conduit, rather the wire within

we might be more likely to be able help if you told us what the project is about

  3. I think you are looking for flexible ball and socket tubing. Good luck and check this out.
