I live in Mount Lawley and have no access to a car, so a place that I could walk to would be greatly appreciated!

  1. How close are you to

Caltex,  810 Beafort St,  Mount Lawley Tel: 08 9271 3011

They are shown as doing BBQ Gas bottle refills.

Many other places also do BBQ gas, Bunnings and other Hardware stores are a good example.

    For info:

There are two different grades or blends of LPG and they are not interchangeable.

One is for automotive use only (called autogas) and will contain butane and propane.

The other is propane only, which is used for decanting into cylinders for caravans, barbecues, camping and household use.

For safety reasons autogas must not be used as a substitute for propane only applications like BBQs or household use.

  2. There are gas cylinder companies that do pick up and delivery to houses, but usually that is only for the big cylinders and in areas not serviced by reticulated mains gas. But you can contact Kleenheat Gas to find out if any would do a one off pickup/delivery of a 4.5kg tank.

If there's no delivery available then use the Kleenheat Gas locator on the internet

http://www.kleenheat.com.au/_application... to find out who stocks Propane Gas near you:

    CITY FARMERS

68 WALTER RD BEDFORD WA 6052

    BUNNINGS BUILDING SUPPLIES

853-865 BEAUFORT ST INGLEWOOD WA 6052

    otherwise:

BP service stations have swap over gas cylinders.

There's a few BP services station nearby at:

Cnr East Parade & Brown Street East Perth

Cnr Scarborough Beach Rd & Charles St North Perth

    67 Walter Road Dianella

    Lot 12 Wanneroo Rd Yokine

Outdoor camping and bbq shops usually will just refill your gas cylinder for a few dollars.

Theres BBQ's Galore, and a Ranger Outdoor stores, both in Morley that will refill your gas cylinder, but you'll have to catch a taxi back because transperth won't let you on a bus with it.

There's a BCF in Cannington or Balcatta (about the same distance to either from where you are).

  3. Propane I'm not so sure of. BBQ LPG cylinders yes, propane, is that the same?

I see that you use the words "gas station" so I suspect that you are an American. In that case, get used to using real English, not American English, then perhaps you will get some useful answers.
