Truth is REAL car enthusiasts don't join or subscribe to clubs like that.  Those clubs are just a bunch of guys who want to brag and show off what they have and a place for vendors to sell crappy products.

pistonheads.com  is a forum type website i sometimes go on for some light relief. uk based.

edmunds.com is excellent for researching specs and prices and stuff.

But it may not have the newsy/enthusiast stuff that you'd expect to see in a car magazine.
