  1. The best fuel saver is YOU.

Last week I was talking to a fleet manager, a guy who takes care of automobiles for a small company. He said fuel economy of his vehicles can vary by as much as 20% just by who is driving and how they drive.

You can save even more by trip-linking, carpooling... ahhh. you know all this.

What you might not have thought about is MOVING.  Choose where you live and/or work, so transit works well for you.  (an extreme case of this would be moving to NYC or San Francisco, where transit is how everyone gets to work.)

There are many "UFO believers" and snake-oil salesmen who will try to tell you they have some magic product to give better fuel economy.  None of them work, just ask them to take it to a university to have their claims checked out.  Outside of hybrids, there is no free lunch.

  2. YES THERE IS A GREAT GAS SAVER THAT YOU CAN MAKE SURE WORKS FOR YOU FOR ONLY $20.  SOME HAVE RECEIVED A 60% INCREASE IN THERE MPG.  AVERAGING AROUND .70/GALLON SAVINGS.

    CHECK OUT WWW.1PERFECTFUEL.COM

SAMPLE IS FREE.. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT OR IT DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU YOUR MONEY IS GUARANTEED 100%.  JULIET 866-721-8337

  3. The very best way to save gas right now in your vehicle is to slow down!  Studies show that you will increase your gas mileage 6% for every 5 miles per hour that you slow down.

I am looking into building a gas reformer for a vehicle which takes a small amount of gasoline and separates the hydrogen from it and adds that to the air intake.  It should increase mileage by 20%.  We'll see.  They are available commercially at

    http://www.supplemental-hydrogen.com

but the are kind of espensive and saving money is the idea, right?

  4. There is a product called CA40  (www.ca40g.com) that guarantees 10% increase in mileage.  In a lot of vehicles it has been reported to do much better than that.  It was designed for, and works much better in diesel engines.  I used it in my work vehicle and it did increase my mileage the advertised 10%.  The only problem is I get such poor mileage (around 7mpg) the 10% saving in mileage really doesn't offset the cost.  I don't know the exact price but it's around $100 per quart.

  5. well its proven by the mythbusters that having your windows is more fuel efficient than the ac even with the wind drag

you could try riding the bus, fifty cents for a ride but you have to get to the bus early

  6. you'll get links to scams if anyone posts a link.

Best fuel saving is to properly inflate your tires  and turn off the AC.  Then don't drive faster than 55.  Power needed is proportional to the cube of speed.  Double the speed and you need 8 times the power.  multiply speed by appx 1.22 (cube root of 2 is a LITTLE less than 1.22) and you double the needed power.

The only reason gas mileage does not directly follow the cube of speed directly is the base amount of fuel used by the engine to run at all...

  7. If the spammer above is to a website about a pill ... forget it.  Magic pills don't exist.

    BUT ...

If I DID have a product that could help you reduce your fuel consumption between 10-30% how much would you pay?  I'm thinking of charging between $400 and $600 dollars.  Based on the average driver and price of gas it would pay for itself in as little as one year.

  8. The best way to save fuel is to walk or ride a bicycle. If you do this for your shorter trips it is amazing just how much fuel can be saved. It is also great exercise.(saves money too)

Many people cover some pretty impressive distances on bicycles. (commuting 20 miles is not that uncommon). Extra bonus is that it emits virtually no co2. A bicycle is quite cheap to set up and will pay for itself in virtually no time at all.

  9. You can use all in one fuel saver  and it can be found on http://www.fuelsaverforyou.com . This is a great fuel saver to save fuel and increase gas mileage. The Fuel OptiMiser fuel saver was developed to boost your engine's performance by taking advantage of the principles of hydrodynamic magnetics. Magnetic forces cause fuel molecules to attract one another forming clusters. This clustering decreases the surface area of fuel molecules exposed to oxygen. Because oxygen is necessary for combustion, fuel is inefficiently and incompletely burned. The unburned molecules are either emitted into the air in the forms of polluting hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide, or they remain inside your engine causing carbon deposits and varnish buildup. Our fuel saver creates a special and powerful magnetic field that pushes the molecules apart, breaking up the clusters so that oxygen exposure is maximized. Optimal combustion takes place, less gas (and money) is wasted, and less pollution is produced. In addition, the improved combustion increases horsepower and allows faster ignition. "Break in" periods vary for each vehicle. Results may be seen in one or two fill ups, or may take longer due to varnish build ups, etc. Buy our fuel saver today and get better gas mileage and more horsepower. Save money and save gas while contributing to air pollution control. How would you like to improve your fuel economy while you add more horsepower? Would you like to decrease car pollution while you improve gas mileage? If so, the our product is the solution.
