Hello I am looking for a Ferret breeder in the Houston area. Or at least near Conroe, Magnolia, or Spring, TX. I also can't afford more than $120 adopting fee for each ferret. And they need to be younger than 3 months old. The oldest I will accept is 7 or so weeks. Thank you!!!

  1. Well you will not find one for $120 You get them at a pet store for $140 to $160 sometimes higher. You are paying for quality. The prices run $200 and up. Any responsible breeder WILL NOT sell a kit younger than 8 weeks. Some prefer to keep them longer. Why must you have one so young? So you can have the novelty of a cute little baby? What are you going to do when it isn't a cute little baby anymore? They may stay small but they do grow. Males can become very large 5 pounders. Females can be up to 3 pounds. If you were responsible you would recuse one from a shelter. There are many ferrets that have been looking for a forever home for years but because of people like you wanting a BABY they do not get homes and die in the shelters after being there many years.

Maybe after reading this you will rethink your choice and go to one of these shelters and give a deserving ferret a home.

Don't worry they should have a ferret that is under 18 months old. so many people get rid of them because they get them for their kids and then the kid doesn't want to take care of it. If you get a deaf one you can easily rename it without it noticing. Lots of them come with cute names. I got my first ferret and ferret nation cage from a girl who was in college and didn't have enough time for her. Her name is Loki and I just loved that name. You should love its name too. Besides whats in a name. And there are no ugly ferrets they are all adorbable. Oh yea my Loki acts like I am the only owner she has ever known. Her owner had her for a year and a half and i have had her now for 11 months. Those shelters are no kill shelters. Some of the ferrets have been there most of there life because they aren't babies anymore and everyone wants baby ferrets.
