Where can I find a good woman's shelters for my children and I in Philadelphia?

I live in the West Oak Lane area of Philadelphia, Pa and I need to know where I can find a good shelter in about 3-4 days. I have two children both under the age of 10 and I am 22 years old. I need to find this shelter before things turn violent at my home. So please any suggestions given make sure sure there is a listed phone number. I am in dire need of help.

I live in Los Angeles, and here we have 211 service.  I am on the board of this amazing referral organization that exists just for situations like yours, and I think if you follow this up, you will find the help you need.  Please do this.  Can it even wait several days?  Don't delay when your safety and that of your children is at risk.  It looks like the phone number is 215-568-3750 for you.  Write back when you can.

The first answerer gave you a good list. The only shelter I know is Laurel House in Norristown. I don't know if you can go there, but if you call them I'm sure they can direct you where to go from where you live. Good luck and congratulations on having the courage to get out of a bad situation.

1st ask Google and Yahoo. Then call the Philadelphia Police.

call your local police department and tell them your situation. someone is bound to help you. tell them you are scared for your life and children. get the h**l out of dodge!
