I am interested in getting a cat because I did.'t own a pet yet and I really want a pet that will be by my side. Someone to always play with and talk with. I can't get a dog because my parents won't allow me too,(by the way, I'm 11) but I think that a cat is also as good as a dog and really clean. But, I'm having trouble finding a good list of cat breeders in the Gaithersburg, Maryland area. The cat that I want is a female Bengal kitten named Kiara. Thats my ideal cat, so something like that will be really great. I would REALLY REALLY appreciate it if you would help me! Thanks!

  1. I do dog and cat rescue in Cecil County, Maryland and we had a pregnant cat left here during the spring. She had 9 beautiful kittens last spring that we are looking for good homes for. If your parents would like to contact me they can email me at brooks13@morrisville.edu. My only requirements are a great home that would spay/neuter kittens after adoption to prevent more unwanted pregnancies.

  2. Go to google and type in "Bengal Maryland" and several sites will come up!

    Good luck!

  3. http://secure.cfa.org/Search.aspx

just type in the state your want, then click on the breed you want, hope this helps. :-)

  4. Take a look at the website for the Cat Fanciers Association, they have a breeder find search.

  5. petfinder.com

  6. Go to a shelter and adopt.

Here is a great website where you can sometimes find purebred cats that have been abandoned. I have a bengal kitten and they are so much fun. A LOT more work than a "normal" cat as they have some wild in them! Be prepared to spend time training your cat. http://www.1-800-save-a-pet.com/
