I'm currently in the process of starting up a business that manufactures energy efficent homes, and I'd like to find out what types of government funding would be available.

I've already checked the Dept. of Energy website and couldn't find what I was looking for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  1. You can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two FREE sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support your purposes.

There is a grant called 81.036 Inventions and Innovations  http://12.46.245.173/pls/portal30/CATALO...

    OBJECTIVES:

To encourage the development and commercialization of energy-saving inventions by providing financial and technical assistance to projects that have a potential for significant energy savings and future commercialization markets through a competitive solicitation process.

    Applicant Eligibility:

Individuals that are U.S. citizens, either native-born or naturalized, small businesses that are U.S. owned as defined in 10 CFR 600.501.

You may want to check this out.

If you need to apply, go to Grants.gov and download the application form for this grant by giving its CFDA number 81.036

Or go to CFDA to see what other energy related grants are available
