Where can I find a monologue for my high school play?

We are doing hello dolly next year and I want a monologue that isn't too awkward or weird and also appropriate for the directors. I also have to give a copy to the directors so it has to be real. If you can give me some or a name of a web site or book that would be great.

See if your local library has a copy of Scenes for Young Actors. It's a great paperback reference that includes both male & female monologues among it's selections. My favourite of the women's is the one from The Corn is Green.

Just make two photocopies of whichever monologue you choose; one to practice from & one for the directors.
