  1. Remember the term, "professional"... that means they get paid to do video work. That is how they can afford to buy equipment and hire people and live where they live, drive what they drive, have insurance and food and clothing... You can hire someone to help you.

Or... maybe there is a local video club willing to take you on as a project... or the local community college has a film class willing to work with you...

Chances are pretty good, you will need to have a budget of several thousand dollars. Is the music for the music video yours? Did you write the music? If not, do you have permission from whoever wrote it that says it is OK for you to use the music? For the music video, do you have a script? Have you drawn up storyboards so you know where in the music you want a certain camera angle or shot? Who is going to do the editing?

There are lots more questions, but this is a start... Typically, people don't just wake up one day and decide to make a music video. There is a lot of planning and work that goes into a well done production.

  2. i'm always willing to work if you're around the area.  Of course you'd need to shell out for camera rental and my fee as well (I don't charge much.

LA area is where its at.

send me a message and I can give you advice on what you can do (you really don't need to take me seriously about the hiring.)
