There's several "super levee"s in the Netherlands but none in Amsterdam... Try searching for "Stormvloedkering Oosterschelde" which is probably the most famous one or just for "Stormvloedkering" or "deltawerken"...

The most impressive one is the Maeslantkering. Just copy that in Google or Flickr. It's shaped as two big doors that turn into place when a heavy storm is due.
