I also want to be able to do special effects to the pics and add text. Sort of like a collage of sorts.

One of my personal favorites is Picaboo.  I just love how much you can do with your pages - but also how professional the output is.

It is however a PRINT ON DEMAND service - which means that you create your pages (in album format) and then it will print it to a book (cover of your own choice) and then mail it to where ever you decide the shipping address will be.

This is also excellent for gifts.
