Question:

Where can I find a place to show my pictures?

I like to take pictures of flowers or things REALLY close up. I don't have any one to show them to but my family. I want to know how well I do. Is there any place that I can post them online and people can rate them? Or a contest of the sort? I has to be online though.

If you know the answer please respond.

thanks.

  1. There's a bunch. Use Google to find them.

    *sigh*

There's Flikr, but it's lame. Picasa Web Albums, and the Opera Community. I have my own domain, and also post on Panoramio (I have many posted on Google Earth through this site).

  2. There are various sites where you can post up photographs you take, but not all have any specific rating system.  DeviantArt is one such place, but you may not always get feedback (as with any site) or the sort of feedback you want (a lot of "looks good" and "cute" sort of comments from members though you can usually get good feedback if you ask for it in the comments section).  Another site (which I just found a moment ago) is Foundmyself.com which seems like the sort of thing your looking for (you may be able to get more personalized feedback from members there).

    hope that helped  ^_^

(If you get a deviantart account send me the link to your gallery. I'd like to see some of your pictures!   :3  )

  3. I know one monthly contest. They nominate winners every month. I am posting the links bellow. One link is for the yahoo group where you can ask questions about this contest.

  4. You can go to www.shutterbug.com and register to be a user.  Then you can upload your photos into a gallery and a lot of people will look at them and can rate them and comment on them.

This website also has contests too, I believe.  When you go to the website, make sure to click on "Forums".  That is the place to register.

National Geographic also has photo contests.  http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/your-s...

  5. Flickr is the best way to store, sort, search and share your photos online. Flickr helps you organize that huge mass of photos you have and offers a way for you and your friends and family to tell stories about them.

A photo can be flagged as either public or private. Private images are visible by default only to the uploader, but they can also be marked as viewable by friends and/or family. Privacy settings also can be decided by adding photographs from a user's photostream to a "group pool". If a group is public the photo becomes public as well. Flickr also provides a "contact list" which can be used to control image access for a specific set of users in a way similar to that of LiveJournal.

Flickr also allows users to organize their photos into "sets", or groups of photos that fall under the same heading.
