I can't seem to find out (although I haven't really tried that hard) who is running for local elections like state senate and reps and then even more local like city officials. Anyone have any websites that list this? I remember when I voted in 2004 that there were a bunch of names of people I knew nothing about (although I was living in an area I was new to) and I felt bad just blindly voting for people I knew nothing about. I don't remember this for the 2006 election though.

  1. First find your precinct..

Then check with the city of plymouth for sample ballot

The MN secretary of state offices are probably the best place to ask.

  2. If you mean the ballot for the November, 2008 elections, no such ballot exists because presidential candidates haven't been officially nominated by their parties yet.  Some candidates for local elections MAY have declared their intention to run but we're probably a long way from the deadline, so no actual ballot exists..  Call your county office and ask how one registers to run -- then contact that office.  Everything isn't online.
