Question:

Where can I find a racquet?

I'd like a racquet that's 9/10 ounces and an oversized head that's at lease 100 square inches. And the beam width to be 25 mm, I want it to be black, white or blue. I can't find one anywhere, I'm a beginner, so. :O I only have $148 in my allowance, so I'd link one that's around 20-25 dollars, somewhere? Because if I spend a lot, my mom won't let me play tennis, so. >_< But if there's that type of racquet and it's more expensive, can you please tell me too? But this was what someone told me to get because I'm just starting, but if you have any... ideas for a beginner like me, can you please tell me? :D I don't like ordering online, so if you can, can you please like, give a store? I live in Texas, so nothing out of the state. ><

  1. Go to Sports Authority or d**k's Sporting Goods. They have large selections of tennis racquets. Try to buy the racquet that already pre-strung if not it will cost you more. Head and Wilson is a good choice lot cheaper than prince. I think $70 to $90 will be a good racquet for you. Make sure you have the right measurement hand grip. You can ask the store guys to measure it for you. This is really important when buying a racquet. Good Luck!

  2. i don't know about all the specifications, but if you're a beginner just check out a place like walmart or a sporting goods store. wilson and prince are both good brands to look at.

  3. Prince Air O Smash: http://www.amazon.com/Prince-Smash-Pre-S...

I'm not sure it meets up to all your expectations, but it is definitely oversized and weighs somewhere between 9-10 oz. Target advertises it for $29.99.

And please do not just pick up any racquet at Walmart. That's what I did (twice) and I regret it now. Better to go to a sporting goods such as Big 5 or Sport Chalet store and ask for help there.

For you, I'd recommend a prestrung frame weighing around 9-10 oz strung, head light such as the Prince O3 Blue or Prince O3 Orange. However, those are about $80-$100 dollars. I would think that those would last you a while before you decide to switch to a heavier racquet that offers more control.

  4. The Head Ti.S2 Racquet is a very good one that fits those specs.

It's a 9.4 ounce, 27.5 inch long racquet with a 102 square inch head size.

It's around $50, which is the only downside, plus it's black, red, and silver...

I know for a fact that you can get it at Sports Authority (http://www.sportsauthority.com/product/i... but I haven't been able to find it at d**k's...

  5. I live in california but i think Big5 sporting goods is nationwide, So you should definitely find one there. Or any sporting good store really. Walmart has them but i dont think there pro ones.

hmm what about like sears or something? naaaah bad idea.

  6. Look you say your a beginner, therefore i think the best Racquet for you in this moment is a Racquet that is not cheap, but not expensive. This is going to be my 3rd year playing tennis in college. When i started i bought a racquet that costed around $27 to $35 since your a beginner i suggest you don't buy an expensive one since i guarantee you you will be dropping the racquet and you don't want to damage a new and expensive racquet. Hope it helped ven though i didnt mention a store.......sorry im from NJ. but you should buy one from a sporting good store, avoid buying it at Wal mart ,............................

                   Hope i helped

    Everything tennis!

  8. The wilson ncode n4 111, it is a racquet of choice by Venus Williams and I use it too and I love it. It's a blue and white color and it has an oversized head and its a pretty light racquet and its a great racquet for any level....I'm probably more advanced than you and its a great racquet for speed also.

  9. go to your nearest shopping mall & look for a sport shop in there & when ya find one, choose from among the racket displayed over the counter, get hold & feel all of them.

when ya finally have chosen some then compare the prices that will suit your budget.

    good times

  10. um go to a sporting goods store im sure they have some there.
