If possible, give me options where budget isn't a problem, and an option where I can have a inexpensive, yet authentic Japanese meal.

  1. i agree.  kung tlgang authentic japanese expert ka? why do you need to get answers from the internet?  That's another pie on your face fro me!

  2. If budget isn't a problem then try the japanese restaurants at any of the high end hotels in metro manila.

if you want really cheap japanese food, look for one in the food court in any SM, robinsons or ayala malls.

  3. You can try Tong Yang, they have a branch along Jupiter St. in Makati..Whenever Japanese guests visit our company, they always make it a point to dine there..They have shabu shabu and they also offer eat all you can buffet of raw foods you can grill on "smokeless grills" found at every table for P525.00

I think they also have branches at SM Megamall, Quezon Ave, Tutuban Center and The Pan Pacific Hotel in Manila.

  4. Well... there's not really any cheap, authentic japanese restaurants here but i can give u a list of suggestions but they're kinda expensive though but really delicious:

    1. Tanabe at SM Mall of Asia

    2. Shinjuku

    3. Furusato (Pasay Road)

    4. Isshin (Pasay Road)

    5. Teriyaki Boy ( Its cheap and the food tastes great)

  5. Inagiku at Shangrila Makati, to my mind is the best and truly authentic Japanese Restaurant in the Philippines.

  6. my favourite rest! http://carmineristoranteitaliano.dgte.ph

  7. There are really few cheap Japanese restaurants. Japanese restaurants in Pasay Road are pretty good. Try Shinjuku in Pasong Tamo, you will really get good value for your money. Sushi Tsumura in Corporate Center, Salcedo Village has good raw seafoods.

  8. saisaki

  9. Why be s****. about raw fish? If you want "authentic" japanese food, you have to eliminate meat (which was only introduced and became accepted upon the arrival of the Americans in the late1800s) an most of the cooking. Authentic Japanese food is mostly raw. or lightly pickled with vinegar.  Occassionlly lightly grilled. Unless, the quality of the fish or seafood is really bad, any of the "run of the mill japanese wannabees" that you mentioned should suffice". Especially since lots of japanese nationals ( who I will assume are better judges of authenticity of Japanese cuisine than you)  eat at these places and find it more than acceptable.

You do need a a history lesson as apparently. even with your claim that you are part Japanese, you are obviously ignorant. of the culture. Going to Japan a few trimes does not make you an expert on japanese culture, part japanese  you may be. By the way, authentic budget Japanese meal is an oxymoron.  Good authetic japanese cuisine is not not cheap or inexpensive. Try a hamburger with lots of mayo.. that a new Japanese authentic cuisine.. very popular in Tokyo..Some answer off the internet?? Where do you think you are?? You are getting answers off the internet yourself. And belive it or not, some people are smart enough to have their own ideas on the internet. Where do you think all that info came from? From some Japanese inspired anime robot?? Is that pie on your face ?

  10. try teriyaki boy... its located in some malls.. in timog.. in greenhills...makati
