Moving from Shephards Bush to Ealing and need some help! I'm looking for a 'Man with a Van' that I know I can trust. Been looking around online and I'm either finding expensive companies or dodge ads on Gumtree!

Moving really sucks and I'm sure some of you have done some mad treks. If you have and can help me by suggestings some places where I can find some help, then you'd be a life saver!

I'm looking to hire this Friday, in the late morning. If it was a Transit van, I think it would be one trip.

Wish me luck!

  1. last time i moved i just got a travel card & used the bus & a pram, 10 trips and alot of beer and I was all done by teatime.

  2. Try Yellow Pages.

  3. just go and rent a truck then go to the home depot / lowes parking lot where guys stand around w8ting for work and hire a few of em to help u (make sure to pay em more or they might break ur stuff) and hire different ones when u reach ur destination

  4. go to the nearest home depot there are a number of  illegal immigrant workers with transportation willing to help you move.

  5. Rent a large u-haul truck and get a bunch of your friends together along with their husbands. It's cheep and you'll be done in no time. Order lots of pizza and plenty to drink.  Good luck!

  6. You would be better advertising locally for a polish plumber with transit van and then you will have thousands of them ringing you up in that area!!!

  7. good luck,,,

  8. Try your local social club or pub always someone who knows someone with a van.

  9. hire a moving company... most likely be a man, and he'll have some sort of van/truck! ta daaahh!

  10. look it up on the internet under moving vans

  11. Be careful, I had a cheque stolen by some movers and they forged it and cashed it for a big amount. Fortunetly my bank helped me get it back. I suggest taping up all your boxes so you can easily see if they have been opened or tampered with! I guess thats what I get for going for the cheapest!

    -Good luck with your move
