Where can I find a rental van that you can drink alcohol in?

I live in southern Cali and I want to drive some people to Las Vegas in one of those vans I hear about, where you can drink booze in the back. Any good ideas on where I can look?

I have heard that (in Ca.) you (the passengers) can drink in a motorhome, but I'm not 100% sure........obviously it would be a big problem if the driver had an open container.......

Be careful and GET all the details on those vans. They have a lot of little "stipulations" about mileage, crossing state lines and so forth that can run up the cost a LOT.

Check into renting a motorhome too.

Get a stretch limo, which comes stocked with alcohol...Let a professional driver get you there safely and legally...Then you won't have to worry about having booze inside - and you can  bring your own.

You can't rent a van and haul your friends.  You have to hire a professional driver.  If you do it yourself, you're violating the open container law.

All for hire transportation is exempt from the open container law... That means hiring a livery service...

As for driving the vehicle yourself...I would call CHP and when you get your answer also get the name of the officer who gave you the information as sometimes other officers may not interpret the law as it was intended...
