  1. Passenger service schedules are at the station--freight is NOT listed

  2. online

  3. There is no, one, single source to find freight and passenger train timetables here in the U.S.  For passenger trains, if you are interested in intercity rail, check Amtrak's website for various schedules and for local, state, commuters you will have to check each individuals website like SEPTA, MARC, MTA, BART, etc.

While freight trains run on schedules these are no longer available to the pubic due to heightened security.

  4. you can go to the train staytion or look on the computer for the info

  5. train robbery huh?

  6. For passenger trains, check the website for the particular line serving the area in question.

Freights normally do not run on a schedule.  They run when there is a train ready to go.

  7. Freight runs pretty much on the demands of the shippers and the carriers.

there are trains that run each day more or less but not on a shcedule, for instance a train from Seattle to Denver may run each day and the instructions are to get it on the road by 8 am, but tomorrow an important shipper's cars wont be ready until 10 so whatever schedule there was just went out the window.

I have never seen a single site that listed all passenger routes, Amtrak of course is easy but there are so many commuter and light rail lines if there was a single source I would be amazed, I treid googlling it and came up blank LOL.

Heck, i cant even get my crew office to tell me within the next 24 hours if I might be going to work.
