  1. i hate to break it to you but swim caps do not keep your hair from getting wet. they can also become uncomfortable after wearing them for a long period of time. i suggest using a swimmer shampoo. i use one from meijer called ultra swim. it works really well

  2. Your best bet would be to go to a sports store, like Sports Authority or Big 5 or a swimming specialty store or a website like TYR or Speedo.

However, do know that swim caps do NOT keep the hair dry. Their main purpose is for reducing drag in a race.

  3. See The "Swim Cap Guide" and look at the link to Allstar Sales in Canada. They have lots of caps that are more protective then the standard latex/silicon in head sizes ,lots of colors , let your daughter see them and see what she thinks.

Try a swim band under her cap for a more watertight seal too.

What ever the choice she has to like it and be comfortable with it.

  4. depends where you live. you can get them at any swim store. where do you live..i can tell you some stores.

  5. If she wants to go swimming every day, invest in a silicone cap. There are 3 types of caps.

Fabric: Keeps hair in place (sort of). Doesn't reduce drag, doesn't keep hair dry at all. I have never really understood the use of these caps. They're made of swim-suit fabric.

Latex: These caps are very thin. They wear out quicker, tear more easily, and have a greater tendency to yank out the little hairs on the back of your neck. They're the most inexpensive.

Silicone: These caps are thicker and last longer than latex caps. They don't have as much of a tendency to roll up in the back like latex caps, so they're more comfortable to wear. They come in fun swirled colors too :)

Her hair won't stay completely dry with silicone or latex caps.  They do stop the hair from getting soaking wet, but it will still be damp, especially at the edges. The best thing to do is wear a silicone cap and take a shower right after with a shampoo designed to get chlorine out, or at least rinse with fresh water.

You can buy them at any large sports store, like sports authority or d**k's. There are swimming specialty stores all over, but caps will likely be more expensive there.
