Question:

Where can I find a taxi that I can call in and for them to arrive to a location in New York City?

I am going to be coming out of class late in New York City, and I wanted to call a cab to come pick me up. I don't want to take the yellow cab because it takes a long time running around until you find it.

Does anyone have any suggestions - I know they have car service in Brooklyn, you call and they come to the address, but is there such a thing in Manhattan?

  1. "Dial 7" is the best.  Always come on time.  You get an automated call when the driver is there, and you can come outside.

  2. There are tons of car services in NYC...TONS...  Two that I remember are Dial-7 (212.777.7777) and Carmel (212.666.6666)... your phonebook can give you others.
