My friends and I all want to go in on a trampoline for our backyard but one guy in our group is 300 lbs and I am having trouble finding trampolines rated for people weighing more than 250 lbs. Does anyone know of a specific model/company whatever that lists a higher weight limit? The most common numbers I see are rated for 250/person and up to 800 lb total, so higher on both those numbers would be better.

  1. The Backyard Pro trampoline is the best designed and most ruggedly constructed heaviest duty trampoline I know of. It has a heavy gage double frame thoughout and is rated much higher than other home trampolines. Many world champions use it for home training. They have a movie on their website so  you can see it in action for yourself. Go to:

  2. Well, do 250 pounds times the number of people allowed at one time.

That's the total amount allowed. Then just add up the amount of weight you all weigh, and just make sure it's lower.

  3. the large and bouncy section (sorry I know its a smart a$$ answer but I could not resist)

  4. I don't know of any trampolines that have a higher rating, but one thing to remember is that when the big guy jumps up and down on the trampoline, the force exerted on his legs is several times his actual body weight. Being a big guy myself, I'm aware that a lot of physical things that lighter folks can do are a real challenge for me.

That being said, there is always a safety factor designed into anything with a weight rating, whether its a ladder or a bicycle. It may be safe for a heavier person to use the tramp, but to be safe, you might call the factory that makes it and ask if there are heavier springs available.

  5. The Alley Oop 14' DoubleBed.  Rec weight limit 300 lbs for one person.  Does not rec multiple persons jumping simulataneously.  We have it and it is the safest we saw.  On single bed tramps they spring back at you hard all the time and that's where you get hurt.  The double beds, the top bed springs soft and when you bounce deep you hit the second bed which adds to the bounce.
