Where can I find a website for international penpals (email) that doesn't involve dating or joining a club?

I'm looking for someone in Porto Alegre, Brazil to write. Since I travel for months at a time, I am just looking for the logistics......like outlet adaptors, the prices of items so that I know what to bring or buy there, clothing, etc. Finding a website like this is not as easy as it sounds.

Try finding groups and forums for the larger cities of the countries you want to have pen pals for.

Good luck it is hard.   It took me a while for Germany and most of those on the forum are from larger cities near by, but not for mine.
