I don't know about you but I hate the way those ugly hospital gowns look. They are horrible. I want to wear my own "designer-esque" hosptial gown when I deliver. I saw these cute gowns http://www.shopbyog.com/products.html but they are $95 and I refuse to pay that. Any ideas where I can find cute hospital gowns?

  1. You could get someone to make you one. you could pick out the fabric and everything. See if any family or friends could do something like that. That way you would be ableto have whatever you wanted!!!

  2. I would suggest looking at Kohls.  They always have nice things and are generally inexpensive; however, I would suggest delivering in the hospital gown, and then once you are all cleaned up, and have showered and what not, put on the new gown in time for your visitors...you might get it a little messy otherwise.

  3. What - so you can get blood, f***s and vomit on it?

I'd go with what the hospital provides. Nobody will care how you look, least of all you. A woman in labour is not "cute".

  4. I thought the same thing, I didn't want to buy a brand new one and never wear it again.  I went and looked at Good-will and thrift stores and that's where I found a pretty cute used one.  I didn't mind that it had already been used...just give it a good washing!

  5. You are going to be squeezing a watermelon out of a lemon...you won't give a flying c**p what you are wearing. Besides, why pay for something that may get covered in blood. I bought NEW but cheap white slippers for the hospital, after delivery. Day 2 got up to pee and gushed blood all over them. No longer new and no longer white.

  6. The hosptial ive been in said i couldnt do that.GERMS!!They wanted me to wear theirs and only theirs!!!!

  7. With my first daughter, when i thought it actually mattered what I wore, lol... I found a night knee-length nightgown that snapped all the way up the front at a department store for $15 or so, and I wore that. The truth is, you can wear whatever you want, it doesn't have to be a hospital gown and having the opening down the front was much more convenient.

  8. It is impossible to look good while delivering. No matter what you do. Good luck though.

  9. I guarantee you aren't going to give a c**p what you look like when you deliver.  Don't waste your money - cause it will get covered in blood anyway.

  10. well, I don't know if you want to knock 'em dead at the hospital with your swanky gown but I got mine at Wal-Mart that was 14.99. There are slits in the breast area for easy breast feeding if that's the route you choose.

  11. lol the way I looked was the LAST thing on my mind when it came time for delivery..... I would try walmart or some other discount dept store.

  12. Well that's a waste of money.

  13. You could always ask someone you know to sew one for you.  If you don't know anyone then try going to a seemstress.  Just tell them your budget and show them the picture of those ones.

    God Bless!

  14. Pretty much anything you're going to have on while you're in labor is going to get destroyed.  I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on a 'designer hospital gown.'  It's next to impossible to look good while in labor.  Maybe you would be better off getting a nice robe or pajama set for after delivery?

  15. I purchased some nice night gowns and lounge sets at target.

  16. seriously...just stay with the hospital gown...no one cares about the looks of the gown when ur delivering!!! what a waste of money!
