Where can I find an ice dancing partner?

I'd like to be an ice dancer and I'm training at the moment, but my local ice rink has no way of finding me a partner - does anybody know where I can find an ice dance partner? (hopefully without having to use money)

If your rink has no way of finding you one, maybe you could call around other rinks nearby...

if not, there is always the oppertunity of advertising in a local paper, or even looking for websites..

ALSO... why not find out when your rink runs classes (at around about your level) go along, ask if anyone is interested!!

I found mine by accident.. I litterally fell on him, that was 15 years ago now, and we're still skating together... if you're better than him! give me a call lol!!

.Advertise in your local paper, put a notice up in local shop windows, or in the ice ring were you practise, some one some were might know someone. good luck

Join fan sites of famous male ice dancers and inquire as to who might be looking for a female partner.  Oh and be sure to specify that it's for ice dancing.  Otherwise, you're not likely to get any replies.

I know this sounds really odd, but try asking a hockey player.  My sister couldn't find an ice dance partner, so she asked her coach if she could help her find one.  Her coach was married to the hockey coach.  As a punishment for doing something bad (I don't know what), one of the hockey coaches made the player ice dance with my sister.  He turned out to kinda like doing it.  I think it was because he had a huge crush on my sister.  My sister was about ten when they were partnered up, and by the time they were about fourteen they made it to junior nationals.  Just a weird story.

you could print out a few ads saying that you need a partner, and you could schedule interviews. you should post the ads inside a few local skating rinks in ur area. good luck!!!
