  1. I'm not sure about websites, but if you have a Big Lots or Dollar Tree in your town, both have very reasonably priced teaching supplies and items that can be used for centers and manipulatives.  Good luck, and have a great year:)

  2. Government websites are great for visuals. You can find things on science, health, history and government. I entered a grant competition for American art prints for our school and won. It cost nothing and it's a very nice way to introduce students to history AND art. Look under Humanities, NASA, National Weather Service, National Geophysical (great earthquake and volcano stuff), and countless others. Google "Free AND Teachers" and you will get hundreds of links to free classroom materials.

  3. Staples has an annual Teacher's Appreciation Day when discounts are offered on all of their supplies. Check their website for the date in your area.

  4. try amazon.com

if you need books try abebooks.com

  5. The dollar or 99 cent store. My classroom budget this school year is $400.00. I shopped the 99 cent store and bought pencils, pens, crayons, markers, paper, stencils, construction paper, folders, Kleenex,  manipulative's, posters, gaming cards etc. I spent $80.00. I am set at least until Christmas.

  6. Try your local Wal-Mart of Target. You can find some great deals there for supplies. Also, Staples has a teacher appreciate day so check your listing. I have ordered from many online stores like Trend Enterprises, Classroom Direct, and Smile Makers. Google them and check them out. Each site has a sale section.
