Particularly news regarding the teenage victims. Also, a trusted organization to whom I can donate money raised by my club AWARE (Association of World Affairs and Relief Efforts). If you have any other sites that would give similar information for other disasters around the world, it would be most appreciated. =) thanks.

  1. Their are many organizations that still need help to help those who want to return to a city they love. To find out about organizations that are doing anything and to keep up with the current news go to http://www.nola.com/

The best site for current news in New Orleans.

Found this story on the teenagers of Katrina http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/200...

  2. I would say don't waste your time. Most victims of Hurricane Katrina have moved out of state or already collected insurance and fixed up their places. Though not everyone has, I met a hobo in Cleveland who was from that area.

Like that guy above said giving to a local church might be the best (and safest) way. But if you decided too here is a site I found where you might be able to get redirected to a charity.

  3. Give your money to a local church they will put it to better use then anyone.
