Where can I find employment in Mt. Airy, NC or Hillsville/Galax, VA?

My husband is looking for work around the Mt. Airy, NC area, where I just took a teaching position. He is getting out of the teaching profession after 3 years. He is willing to travel a little to work, and his options are pretty open at this time. He hasn't had much luck with online job search databases like monster, careerbuilder, etc. Does anyone have any information about job openings that they could provide me?

One place that Job Seekers often forget when looking for jobs is the State Unemployment office which offers services even if you aren't receiving unemployment benefits.
