I'm trying to make a board game and all thats left is to make the board and get the peices- but i need to get the peices first (to measue the spaces to fit the figurines in). The figurines i need are kind of like these

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/

As you can tell these are very detailed- How ever my problem is that its too expensive and they come unassembled and unpainted-

What i need is a link to something that sells things like these.

Most importantly the base of the peices must be no bigger than a square inch, they must be inexpensive, and they must look nice... Helps if they come pre assembled and painted, or just assembled etc...

Anyways If you know of anything, please tell, thx!

  1. if you look at hat.com they have a whole lot of 1/72 scale models (about 1/2 the size of warhammer), but they are really cheap, you can get about 40 of them for $10 and they have a huge range

    here are the medieval ones

  2. Heh.  You want miniatures of Games Workshop quality, for a lower price, pre-assembled and preferably painted?  You don't want much, do you?

Well, fortunately, you're in luck.  The French company, Rackham, has recently released a brand new science fiction wargame called AT-43.  The models are plastic, pre-assembled, pre-painted and a shade cheaper than the Games Workshop equivalent.

Here's a link to the current stock:

If you were looking for an equivalent fantasy range, though, I can't help you.  You may like to look at the WizKids range of Clix miniatures (HeroClix, HorrorClix etc) as these include LOTR models and others of a fantasy or fantasy-equivalent nature.
