I tried using CSS on my freewebs page, but I couldn't get it to work. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong, or if I just needed a new place to put my website.

  1. With Microsoft Office Live Small Business, you can get a free website - http://snipurl.com/3803z . It has a free design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. It has no ads and has 500mb of web space. You can also add css easily via its stylesheet textbox. Another way is to upload your own html and css to its webfolder. MS is giving a free domain name for the 1st year.

  2. You need a new host, try:

    http://zymic.com

    http://x10hosting.com

    http://trap17.com

    I've had good experience with all of these hosts, all of them don't display ads like Freewebs.

  3. http://www.000WEBH0ST.com should work for you.  I have CSS on my free site, no worries.

  4. Hosting has nothing to do with CSS! It's a matter of how you code your CSS! I've placed it on lots of hosts. SO, let's figure out what you could be doing wrong.

    What are the symptoms? Absolutely none of it being displayed? Could be, either your <link> or @import statement in your html file is flubbed.

    Could be, something as simple as a flubbed bracket at the beginning or early in the CSS file. I've done that: a missing bracket at the end of the body { statement will blow off the entire rest of the file!

    Similarly, a flubbed quote within a statement could blow off the entire file, like background: url("something.jpg); ...}

    no closed quote there, and the rest of the file is hopeless!

    Check VERY carefully! Try validation through jigsaw.w3.org/validator to check your css file and validator.w3.org to check your html ... to see where some of your mistakes may lie!

  5. well free webhosting is not recommended because once the bandwidth gets over people can not visit your website.bluehost  provides best webhosting

    http://www.bluehost.com/track/bluehostwe...

  6. http://www.hu.tl , no ads on your pages, PHP, Mysql , also free subdomains .hu.tl or your own domain support.

  7. Free css? I think the server has to have a license for every user to run that and i think its pretty expensive. I don't think you'll find one for free. JChost.net is where i used to have my Counter Strike server. I think they have really cheap web hosting too.
