Where can I find free cardboard to make a boat for a boat race?

I can only use corrugated carboard and NO PLASTIC AT ALL.

Most grocery/liquor stores have loads of extra cardboard boxes that can be taken (usually for free) if you ask to speak to an employee/customer service about your need for extra boxes.

Do you have a factory nearby? Or even a Wal-Mart or other large store?

Try calling & explaining what you want--they will likely be glad to donate to you.

Also try appliance stores--BIG boxes, like for fridges or washers might be there.

Large appliance stores. Particularly from refrigerators, the cardboard they use for those is very thick and sturdy and can cover a large area. Also try cabinet shops as they also use very thick stuff to protect from damage.
