  1.      You can get free material by cutting up old clothes,I'm sure friends and relatives would be glad to give you clothes they no longer use too.


  2. Free patterns are easy, they're all over the internet.  

    Free fabric is another story.  You can get cheaper fabric at Walmart or in fabric stores in their clearance bin, or super cheap fabric in thrift stores (cut up clothes you only pay 50 cents for).  But I've never seen "free" fabric before.
