Where can I find industrywise grouping / listing of Indian Companies?

I want to find out to which industry segment a particular company belongs. Where is this information available?

    2. open this site by clicking the link    http://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockm...   here you will get names of all industry segments, click the name of any segment and you will get all companies belonging to that segment.

    The example is for banking sector. You can change sectors by clicking on the drop down menu for Key sctor stocks and selecting another sector

  6. Go to http://finance.yahoo.com/

    enter the symbol of your company (if you dont know the smybol type the name in, a list of companies should come down, if the company isn't in the list use google to get the symbol)

    once you are on the stock's page click on profile (just to the left and slightly up from the blue headlines bar)

    In here you should be able to see: the sector, industry and, under business summary, what the company does. If this is a very tiny company Y! may not have the info, remember if all else fails there is always google.
