Where can I find info about my last name?

I want to know more about my last name and if I have any famous ancestors please tell me if you know a site where you dont have to pay to see and just look at it for free

Do a search on the web, everyone has a cousin that they haven't seen in years who has done some of the research already. in a search engine type in

(your last name)+genealogy

you can also try

(your last name)+family

Your ancestors have more than one last name.  

If you really want to know if you have any famous ancestors, you will have to do the research.  

You can try to google your parents surnames, your grandparents surnames (there are 4) and so on.  You could be related to John paul Jones or Sophia Loren, but you won't know until you research.
