He was at Camp Shilo in Manitoba in 1940-1941. Possibly from Saskatchewan

  1. I found a few possibilities as far as burial places for him:

    Holy Cross Cemetery

    Spokane, Spokane County, Washington (http://www.interment.net/data/us/wa/spok...  Aasen, Alfred J, b. Aug 11, 1893, d. Jan 1973, bur. Jan 28, 1973, 80yr, F-114-5/1

    Aasen, Mary E, bur. Aug 19, 1971, 78yr, F-114-4/1

    Spring Grove Lutheran Cemetery

    Spring Grove, Houston Co., Minnesota

Aasen Alfred         11-16-1933   MN PVT CL 17 Field Art 2 DIV

    Marshfield's IOOF Pilgrim Cemetery (http://www.orgenweb.org/coos/cbioof.htm)...

    AASEN, Alfred -- 1882 (Norway) - 10 Jun 1916

    AASEN, Alfred -- d. 30 Apr 1923, ae 6y 6m 2d; bur. 2 May 1923

Can you tell us if any of these might be a match?

    Hope that helps!

  2. This is a forum about Camp Shilo, used to train parachute troops:  http://forums.army.ca/forums/index.php?t...

I saw some entries on ancestry.com (and their Canada site) for ALFRED EASON, born in Norway and living in the US; as well as ALFRED ISON, etc. But, none mentioned the RAF in Canada--unless he was in the parachute training or was an instructor at Camp Shilo. You might go to the site above and register, so you can leave a message on the forum, asking about him. Was he born in Norway or was it Canada??
