I require information on the Taxi industry in Australia. Not the Taxi driver's license, but I am more interested in the right/license to hold a vehicle as a taxi cab. Where can I find info on the current price of such license, how to acquire it, where to acquire it from, etc.?

Taxis are regulated by individual states, NSW is only one state. Go to the various state government web sites e.g.:

www.sa.gov.au

www.vic.gov.au,

www.wa.gov.au

etc. etc.
