Question:

Where can I find knock off sunglasses in London?

I am in the East End, but I don't feel like walking through scores of markets on a fruitless search... does anyone know of a specific place where they would sell knock-off sunglasses? I am looking for generic ray-ban wayfarers, think 1965 bob dylan, blues brothers or risky business. Possibly Camden Market?

  1. You were right with Camden Market - don't carry anything valuble in your pockets - the same guys selling you stolen stuff won't think twice about stealing from you.

  2. If they've been knocked off presumably they will be lying on the pavement.

They say the streets of London are paved with sunglasses or something.

  3. My apologies for my outburst. You meant designer copies?

  4. Unfortunately markets are your best bet - try Spitalfields or Petticoat Lane.

Try to get look-a-likes rather than actual counterfeits.  The fakes are often dangerous in that they do not have the UV protection that the genuine ones do and can result in your getting eye damage.
