Question:

Where can I find larger grease gun coupler?

Recently I wanted to grease my outboard engine with a grease gun. Figured it would be pretty easy with a standard grease gun, but that wasn't the case. Went to automotive, marine stores however I couldn't find an adapter that would fit. Is there a place to purchase a coupler that will fit a bigger zirk fitting. Ok thanks for any help out there.

  1. Dear M,

You can check with snap-on, bass pro shops or cabela's for the coupling. You can also check with any hydraulic shops in your area, many stock fittings and may have what you are looking for, or they may be able to order it for you.

See if you can unscrew the zirk fitting and find a normal size that can bolt back in its place. Zirk fittings come in a variety of sizes, again, check all the above places.

  2. Huh?   I've always use a standard grease gun, and I've lubed almost every make of outboard, but I guess anything is possible, So!  Call your local snap-on man.  Any service department can give you his number, They have several adapters..  I would like to know what engine you have, Thanks!!

  3. Dude, it is a bleeder fitting and not a grease fitting.  That is why you cant find a grease gun to fit.
